About Susie

My name is Susie and I love painting with watercolor. My fascination with watercolors started as a hobby when I was a kid since they served as a medium through which I could let my imagination soar and vent my deepest feelings without experiencing any kind of hesitation. Hailing from a rural family background, much of my childhood was spent in the lap of nature wherein I had the opportunity to study the various components which make up nature from a very close range. Since it was a form of early education for me, many of my observations which were made so long ago are still fresh in my memory and would remain with me forever.

I must have been around 6 years old when I used watercolors for the first time and honestly speaking, the outcome was nothing more than a big blotch of colors. However, it was sufficient to spark my imagination and set me on a path on which I still find myself traveling and enjoying every part of the journey. Due to the remote location of my parent’s home, I did not have the privilege of studying under the tutelage of a great and well known watercolor artist and therefore had to rely solely on my instincts and dedication to improve upon my hobby through incessant practice and constant experimentation.

It is this lack of guidance during my formative years which has motivated me to set up this website as in this modern computer age, I feel it is an appropriate medium through which I can provide useful watercolor tips and tricks to many aspiring and burgeoning watercolor artists who do not have access to firsthand expert advice. The nature study which was an inseparable part of my childhood forms the theme of almost all my paintings today and I use them to demonstrate the various watercolor painting techniques which I learned the hard way through experience. In fact, it was during the course of setting up this website that I felt that I should dedicate a section specifically featuring watercolor tips for beginners and dealing with beginner watercolor techniques as a remembrance of my early days as a watercolor artist.

I hope my website serves as a beacon of guidance and hope to all aspiring watercolor artists who would benefit from my watercolor tips revealed in the inner sections after they have signed up.
